The first English version of the famous martial artsnovel, "Legends of the Condor Heroes", written byLouis Cha, better known by his pen name, Jin Yong, is scheduled to be released in the UK next year.

由查良镛--更为人所熟知的是他的笔名金庸，所著的著名武侠小说《射雕英雄传》的首部英译本将于明年在英国出版。

London-based Maclehose Press has confirmed thatthe novel will be released in 12 volumes, with thefirst, "A Hero Born", set to be released on Feb 22.

伦敦出版社Maclehose Press已确认，英译版《射雕英雄传》将分12卷发布，第一卷《英雄诞生》定于明年2月22日发售。

In the publisher's promotional introduction of the "Legends of the Condor Heroes", the serieswas referred to as a Chinese version of "Game of Thrones".

出版社在《射雕英雄传》的宣传简介中称之为“中国版《权力的游戏》”。

The first volume has been translated by Anna Holmwood, an English publishing agent who hascooperated with many famous Chinese writers, such as Yu Hua, Liu Zhenyun, and Yan Ge.

第一卷的译者是英国出版经纪人郝玉青，她曾与余华、刘震云、颜歌等诸多知名中国作家有过合作。

Holmwood has been translating "Legends of the Condor Heroes" since 2012, and from thesecond volume onward invited Gigi Chang to help her with the translation.

郝玉青从2012年起翻译《射雕英雄传》，第二卷开始她请Gigi Chang帮忙翻译。

Louis Cha is China's most influential martial arts author with a total of 15 novels in thegenre. Since the 1950s, about 100 million copies of his works have been sold around theworld.

金庸是中国最具影响力的武侠作家，共著有15部武侠小说。上世纪50年代以来，金庸作品在全球的销量超过1亿册。

However, only three of Cha's works have been translated for the English-speaking world. Theyare "Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain," "The Deer and the Cauldron," and "The Book and theSword," all translated by Graham Earnshaw.

不过，此前金庸只有三部小说推出过英译本，分别是《雪山飞狐》、《鹿鼎记》和《书剑恩仇录》，均由晏格文翻译。
