British people should avoid kissing and hugs and focus on Harry Potter and Manchester Unitedinstead if they want to woo high-spending Chinese tourists, according to the UK tourismagency.

英国旅游局表示，若英国人想要吸引高消费的中国游客，应避免亲吻和拥抱，将重点放在哈利·波特和曼联上。

Chinese visitors arrive in the UK with specialist expectations, a report from VisitBritain states.

英国旅游局官网的报告称，中国游客是带着专门的期望抵达英国的。

"The Chinese rate Britain highly for its cultural heritage and contemporary culture, associatingBritain strongly with museums and films. They are mostly interested in the royal family, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey," it said.

该报告指出：“中国人因英国的文化遗产和当代文化而给予该国高度评价，一谈到英国，他们就联想到英国的博物馆和电影。他们最感兴趣的是王室、莎士比亚、夏洛克·福尔摩斯、哈利·波特和唐顿庄园。”

The agency said that English football was a key attraction for the Chinese. Manchester Unitedare the best supported club in China and Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and TottenhamHotspur also feature in the top ten most popular teams.

英国旅游局称，英式足球对中国人来说极具吸引力。曼联是在华最受支持的俱乐部，而阿森纳、利物浦、曼城和托特汉姆热刺也在最受欢迎的10大球队之列。

The report also advises British businesspeople to avoid overfamiliarity with their Chineseguests.

该报告还建议称，英国商家应避免对中国客人过分亲密。

"Kissing and hugging are not a common form of greeting with the Chinese. Many of them wouldfeel embarrassed and so it is best to avoid it," it said.

报告指出：“对中国人来说，接吻和拥抱不是常见的打招呼的方式。许多人会感到尴尬，因此最好避免这么做。”
