Today I want to introduce one single word that is commonly used in the U.S. and has
multiple different phrases and meanings that go along with it when used in a different context.
Although this is a word located in the dictionary, it is considered a “slang” when used in the way
we will use it today.
今天小编想介绍一个在美国常用的单词，这个单词有不同的词组搭配，而且在不同的语境下，意思也不一
样。虽然这个单词看起来有点“学术”，但其实在美国人看来，它是一个非常“俚语”的表达。
The word is simply the verb, "Kill." At first glance this may seem very scary and weird that I am
teaching you the word "kill", but I promise that it has a much better and more fun meaning to it.
这个单词就是动词“kill”。乍看这个单词，大家可能觉得有点可怖和奇怪，但是我保证这个单词还有很多你
意想不到的意思。
There are three different ways that you can use the word "kill" when you are socializing with your
English speaking friends. The three different ways are, "Kill the food or kill it", "You're killing me!"
and "You killed it!" Don't worry none of these phrases will make your friends run away from you
screaming and hollering, but you must remember to add the noun that follows after the word "kill"
so that there is no confusion about what you mean.
今天我想教大家关于“kill”的三种表达。分别是：“Kill the food or kill it", "You're killing me!" 以
及“You killed it!"。
1) "Kill the food or kill it."
Most of you may have guessed that this might have something to do with food, if you thought that, then you thought correct. To kill the food only means to finish the food that you are currently eating.
"Kill the food or kill it." 这个词组的意思是吃完你现在正在吃的食物。
Ex: A) "Hey man, are you going finish that chao fan?"
B) "No man, you can kill it."
We normally say "kill it", just for convenience (because there are fewer words), and it also sounds
much cooler.
我们通常说"kill it"只是为了方便起见（明显单词更少），而且听起来也更酷一点。
